Steve was born and continues to live in Portland, Maine. He is a graduate of Franklin Pierce College and is the author of ten books of poetry. His latest title, Twelve Moons, Twelve Poems, is currently available. Recently, Steve was named Poet Laureate of Portland, Maine, for a two-year term.

Wayne attended Massachusetts College of Art 1969 to 1972, moved to Maine in 1976, and joined the staff of The Café Review in 1991. In the early 1990s he began making mixed media works on paper and has practiced that medium ever since. He has collaborated with poet Paul Pines on two published books of poems and images, Taxidancing (IKON Press 2007) and most recently, Last Call At The Tin Palace (Marsh Hawk Press 2009).

Roger has been designing and creating The Café Review book format from fragments of paper for the past sixteen years. His motto: “The Café Review is BOUND to happen.” His chapbook of poems is titled, Anyone Can Ingest Daylight.  He created and performs Mr. Mojo Risin’ — A Performance of the Poetry of Jim Morrison — a theatrical presentation designed to help carve a legacy of truth for a person he considers one of the greatest poets of all time.  This has been a consummate life passion by an incalculable exponent.

Megan Grumbling’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry, The Southern Review, The Iowa Review, The Antioch Review, The Spoon River Poetry Review, and other journals. Author and printer of the chapbook To and from Deepening, she has received a Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation and a Robert Frost Foundation Award for Poetry. Besides writing poems in a little red writing room, she teaches at the University of New England and Southern Maine Community College, and reviews theater for the Portland Phoenix.

Stacey Chase, a freelance journalist, primarily covers northern New England — Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont — for publications like The Boston Globe Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, Newsweek, Poets & Writers, Vermont Life, Yankee, and many others. (Her inner poet doesn’t like to appear in public much.) She was a contributor to the book Leap of the Heart: André Dubus Talking (Xavier Review Press, 2003). Chase has been a Bernard J. O’Keefe Scholar at the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and Judith Davidson Moyers Scholar at her alma mater, Middlebury College.
