Ed Sanders

Ed Sanders: is a poet, performer, and publisher best known for founding the radical journal Fuck You: A Magazine of the Arts and co-founding the band The Fugs. He pioneered the Investigative Poetry movement with his 1976 manifesto and went on to write book-length historical poems including Chekhov, 1968, and the multi-volume America: A History in Verse. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship, a NEA Fellowship, and won an American Book Award for Thirsting for Peace in a Raging Century. A tireless voice for political and poetic experimentation, Sanders continues to write and publish from Woodstock, New York.
