Jean Meyer: arrived in San Francisco in 1959 and was lucky enough to be introduced to many of the Beat Artists and Writers of the day, to hang out at City Lights and The Batman, to discover Taoism, Zen and Jazz . . . wended her way through museums in Italy and England . . . taught Montessori Grade School and Art and Creative Writing summer workshops. She presently lives in a small seaside town, sits on the Gallery Committee for the local Community Arts Centre, and works in an antique shop which provides great fodder for assemblage / collage . . . and the beat goes on . . .

Hafid Lalaoui

Hafid Lalaoui: is a Moroccan born American citizen and photographer now living in Portland, Maine.  His work has been shown in Belgium, Casablanca, and New York.  The images in this issue represents a series of photographs taken in Chinatown, New York in the mid-1980s.

Mirle Freel

Mirle Freel: born and raised in Wyoming he is a retired, full professor of art from The University of Great Falls in Montana with a M.F.A. in photography and minor in drawing, with a M.A. from The University of Iowa in painting and drawing.  He has had numerous publications and exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad in photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture.  He was the filmmaker for “Eco- Ethnology of the High Plains Indians.”  He has illustrated the children’s books, Aardvark, Aardvark, How Do You Do! and Zigzag the Rocking Roadrunner.  He has received numerous awards and honors and has numerous work in public and private collections.
