Noel Duffy
was born in Dublin. His debut collection, In the Library of Lost Objects was published by Ward Wood, London, in 2011 and was shortlisted for the Strong Award for Best First Collection by an Irish Poet. A second collection, On Light & Carbon, followed in 2013. His third publication, Summer Rain, is expected in 2016, also with Ward Wood.
Theo Dorgan
was born 1953 and is an Irish poet, writer, lecturer, translator, librettist, and documentary screenwriter living in Dublin with his partner, the poet and playwright Paula Meehan. He completed a BA in English and Philosophy and a MA in English at University College Cork. He was visiting faculty at University of Southern Maine. After his first two collections, The Ordinary House of Love and Rosa Mundi, went out of print, Dedalus Press reissued these two titles in a single volume What This Earth Cost Us. A former Director of Poetry Ireland/Éigse Éireann, he has worked extensively as a broadcaster of literary programmes on both radio and television. Among his awards are the Listowel Prize for Poetry, 1992 and the O’Shaughnessy Prize for Irish Poetry, 2010. He is a member of Aosdána.
Dónall Dempsey
was born in the Curragh of Kildare, Ireland, and was Ireland’s first Poet in Residence in a secondary school. He moved to London in the 1980s where he completed his university degree. In August 2011, he was invited to read his poetry in Edinburgh, Scotland, and in 2012, he was featured at the St. Clementin Bilingual Bilateral Festival in France. In 2012–13 he published two collections of poems, Sifting Sound into Shape and Being Dragged Across the Carpet by the Cat. His most recent collection, The Smell of Purple was launched at the 2014 Delhi Poetry Festival. He hosts a successful monthly performance poetry night in Guildford, Surrey, UK, where he now lives.
Stephanie Conn
is a former teacher and graduate of the MA programme at the Seamus Heaney Centre, her poetry has been widely published and has won a range of poetry prizes including the inaugural Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing. Her first collection, The Woman on the Other Side is published by Doire Press.
