Elizabeth Ostrander
Elizabeth Ostrander: recently, small, mixed media, landscape paintings have been showing up along with her better known figurative sculptures. But the Maine landscape has always been inspirational one way or another ever since she moved, as a back–to–the–lander, from New York City where her formal art training began. Brett Newburn
Brett Newburn: a graduate of Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, long time Portland, Maine resident, and all around underachiever, has devoted the bulk of his life to adventure, motorcycle travel, sketching, and drawing. The drawings appearing in this issue are from a motorcycle trip from Maine to Mexico. His most recent work can be viewed at www.oahucomix.com.
Marc Swan
lives in Portland, Maine. His third collection, Simple Distraction, selected poems from 1989 to 2009, was published in 2009 by tall–lighthouse, London, England. Poems have been published this year in Chiron Review, Gargoyle, Ottawa Arts Review, The Binnacle, and Straylight, among others.
Tim Suermondt
is the author of two full–length collections of poems: Trying to Help the Elephant Man Dance (The Backwaters Press, 2007) and Just Beautiful (New York Quarterly Books, 2010.) His third collection, Election Night and the Five Satins, will be published early in 2016 by Glass Lyre Press. He has poems published and forthcoming in Poetry, The Georgia Review, Prairie Schooner, Ploughshares, Blackbird, Bellevue Literary Review, PANK, North Dakota Quarterly, december magazine, Plume Poetry Journal and Stand Magazine (U.K.) among others. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife, the poet, Pui Ying Wong.
