James Merrow

James Merrow: Born and raised in Skowhegan, Maine. College degree in Studio Art (Painting & Printmaking) from University of Maine, Orono. Recently retired from 35+ years of database and application development in the corporate world in Portland/South Portland.  I have happily returned to making art full time in my studio in Embden, Maine. I am currently working on a series of my shadow in nature as self portraits, mostly done with gauche, charcoal, conte crayon on beautiful 22” x 30” sheets of Arches watercolor paper.
