Mario Loprete

Untitled by Mario Loprete

Mario Loprete:  is a graduate at Accademia of Belle Arti, Catanzaro (Italy). Painting is his first love. Creating a painting, starting from the spasmodic research of a concept with which he wants to send a message to transmit his message, is the basis of his paintings. The sculpture is his lover, his artistic betrayal to the painting. That voluptuous and sensual lover that gives him different emotions, that touches prohibited cords.  marioloprete.com

Mike Hawthorne

Boiling Point by Mike Hawthorne

Mike Hawthorne:  an artist based in London, born in 1954. He became fascinated by the engraved illustrations in American Civil War journals and the humorous graphics in the mid1960s MAD magazines. In the 1970s he spent 8 seminal weeks in Kinshasa learning from Congolese sculptors and painters. African music, Soul, and Reggae became his chief subjects. In the 1980s, he began to work in colour with some good results in silkscreen printing. Nowadays, he finds himself attracted to penandink drawings; occasionally using charcoal and collages. Commercial success has always eluded him, but he never regretted choosing an artist’s life. In fact, it chose him. (See his Instagram page, hawthorne.mike, for examples of his work over the years.

Ronald Frontin

Before the Storm by Ronald Frontin

Ronald Frontin:  was born in Camden, Maine, in 1962 and today resides near the town of Rockland. He is a contemporary Maine painter who continues the American realist tradition of Winslow Homer and Thomas Eakins with his fastidiously rendered figural images set on the coast and in the countryside. His subjects include the hardworking fisherman and farmers of Maine. The artist, who himself, enjoys working in the open air, is interested in painting people who are physically engaged with nature and who are unaware that they are being studied; the opposite of posed works, these images convey respect for the grueling and absorbing tasks of outdoor life
