Kathleen Ellis

Kathleen Ellis:  grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and migrated to Maine in 1977.  She is the author of five poetry collections, most recently Outer–Body Travel.  Poems from her manuscript, Dear Darwin, were set to music and released as a Parma Recordings CD, which was nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award.  A recipient of poetry fellowships from the NEA and the Maine Arts Commission, she teaches creative writing and literature at the University of Maine in Orono.
