Dmitry Vrubel

Dmitry Vrubel: (b.1960). He is best known for his mural painted on a remnant of the Berlin Wall in 1990. The title of this painting is My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love, and it depicts a “socialist fraternal kiss” between the Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and East German General Secretary Erich Honecker. Since 2008, he has lived and worked in Berlin with his wife and coauthor artist Victoria Timofeeva.
