Katherine M. Hedeen: is a translator and essayist. A specialist in Latin American poetry, she has translated some of the most respected voices from the region. Her latest publications include prepoems in postspanish & other poems by Jorgenrique Adoum (Action Books, 2021) and from a red barn by Victor Rodriguez Nunez (coimpress, 2020). Her work has been a finalist for both the Best Translated Book Award and the National Translation Award. She resides in Ohio, where she is a Professor of Spanish at Kenyon College. Kathleen Weaver: is the author of Peruvian Rebel: The World of Magda Portal, With a Selection of Her Poems, Penn State University Press. A recent publication is a translation of Magda Portal’s 1927 book of poems, Hope and the Sea, Dulzorada Press. She coedited The Other Voice: TwentiethCentury Women’s Poetry in Translation and The Penguin Book of Women Poets and has translated a number of works from Spanish including Where the Island Sleeps Like a Wing, Selected Poetry by Nancy Morejon, Black Scholar Press.

Natasha Felix

Natasha Felix: (1996), is a Black poet and performer. Her debut poetry collection is Use o alicate agora (2018). Her work has been included in such anthologies as 29 poetas hoje, Nossos poemas conjuram e gritam (2019), Poemas para ler antes das not cias (2019), and Rua Aribau (2018). Her poems have also been published in various literary magazines, and they have been translated into Spanish, English, and Hebrew. She is the assistant curator at the Museum of Modern Art is Rio.
