Stephanie Borges: (1984), is a Brazilian poet and translator. Her debut poetry collection, Talvez precisemos de um nome para isso (We Might Need a Name for That), won the IV Premio Cepe Nacional de Literature in 2019. Her poetry was included in the anthology As 29 poet as hoje (29 Women Poets Today) in 2021. She has translated prose and poetry from renowned authors such as bell hooks, Audre Lorde, Claudia Rankine, Margaret Atwood, and Alice Walker.

Claudia Guerra Castillo: (1981), is from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. She writes in Zapoteco. Among her books: Metaforas versos /Xhaba diidxa’. Thanks to Editorial Ojarasca for permission to translate into English and reprint this poem from the excellent anthology of poetry from Mexico’s indigenous languages, Insurreccion de las palabras by Hermann Bellingausen (Mexico City: Ojarasca, 2018).

Jean Jacques Pierre-Paul: (1979), was born in Jacmel, Haiti and has lived in Chile for the past ten years. He is a surgeon as well as a poet, visual artist, and translator. Livia Natalia: (1979), was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. She has a master’s in Brazilian Literature from the University of Brasilia and a doctorate in Literature and Culture from the Federal University of Bahia, where she now is Associate Professor in Literary Theory. She is author of the books Agua Negra (Premio Banco Capital de Poesia, 2010), Correntezas e Outros Estudos Marinhos (2015 and 2016), Dia bonito pra chover (2017 Premio APCA de Melhor Livro de Poesia do ano) and Sobejos do Mar (2017).
