Þorvaldur S. Helgason: is a freelance poet and writer based in Reykjavík, Iceland. In 2016, Þorvaldur’s first collection of poetry, a chapbook titled Draumar á þvottasnúru (Dreams on a Clothesline), was published by Partus Press. Recently, he was one of two recipients of the 2018 Grassroots Grant (Nýræktarstyrkur) by the Icelandic Literature Center for his unpublished poetry book Gangverk (Clockwork). Þorvaldur has a BA in Theatre and Performance Making from the Iceland Academy of the Arts and an MA degree in Creative Writing from the University of Iceland.

Ísak Harðarson: is the author of numerous books of poems, short-story collections, and a memoir. His Collected Poems appeared in 2000.  In 2011, he was nominated to the Nordic Council Literary Prize. Harðarson’s writing heralded an innovative approach to poetry in Iceland with his debut in 1982.

Ingibjörg Haraldsdóttir: (1942 –2016) her poetry has been translated to Hungarian, German, Latvian, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Russian, English, Spanish, and the Scandinavian languages, and she herself was a translator of Spanish and Russian. Her book of poetry, Hvar sem ég verð (Wherever I Will Be), won the Icelandic Literature Prize in 2002.

Einar Már Guðmundsson: (b. 1954) is an Icelandic author and poet.  In 1995, he received the Nordic Council Literary Prize for his novel Englar Alheimsins (Angels of the Universe). In 2012, he was awarded the Swedish Academy’s Nordic Prize for his contribution to literature.
