Jules Nyquist

is the founder of Jules’ Poetry Playhouse, LLC, a place for poetry and play in Albuquerque, NM.  She teaches creative writing and poetry classes and hosts poetry readings with visiting writers.  She took her MFA in Writing and Literature from Bennington College, VT.  Her two books of poems, Behind the Volcanoes and Appetites (Beatlick Press) were finalists for the NM/AZ Book Awards.  Her poems have appeared in SAM, Salamander, Malpais Review, Adobe Walls, A View from the Loft, St. Paul Almanac, Long Islander News, House Organ, Duke City Fix and others.  Her website is www.julesnyquist.com.

Wesley McNair

is the Poet Laureate of Maine and the author of nineteen books, including most recently, The Words I Chose: A Memoir of Family and Poetry and Lovers of the Lost: New & Selected Poems. He has won grants from the Rockefeller, Fulbright, and Guggenheim foundations and two NEA grants in creative writing. He has been invited to read his poetry by the Library of Congress, and was chosen as one of five state poets laureate to read at the National Book Festival in Washington, DC, co-chaired by President Barack Obama and Michele Obama.

Jane McCafferty

is author of two novels, One Heart and First You Try Everything, both from HarperCollins, and two story collections, Director of The World (U of Pitt reissued by CMU press) and Thank You For the Music, from HarperCollins.  Her work has received an NEA, two Pushcart prizes, The Drue Heinz Award, a Book Sense award, and the Great Lakes New Writers award.  Her poems have recently appeared in Chatauqua Review, Pittsburgh Poetry Review, and The Healing Muse.
